The Owner’s Design Brief requested a Contemporary Addition to the House’s Rear together with a New First Floor whilst retaining the House’s Edwardian Period Street Charm. Being one residence back from Melbourne’s Premier Beach Esplanade, the Design Response Orientated the Living Areas South towards its glimpsing Water Views & to enable South-Westerly Breezes to Passively Cool the House during a Summer’s Evening. The Home’s Heritage Edwardian Period Features were retained & complimented with its New Areas constructed of resilient External Metal Wall Claddings & Polished Concrete Floors. This has provided for a series of interconnected Entertainment Areas from inside to outside with a Complimentary Design.
